TAZA Prayer Support

Help with prayer times, location, Qibla and azan.

Start with the checks below. If the issue continues, email support with the app version, device model and a short description of what happened.

Why does TAZA Prayer ask for location?

Location supports device-based timetable selection and Qibla guidance. The app can request approximate or precise location while you are using the relevant feature. TAZA Prayer does not request background location permission in the current release preparation.

You can also use manual location or supported zone options instead of device location.

How are prayer times determined?

For Japan, the current implementation calculates prayer times on-device using the Muslim World League method with Fajr 18°, Isha 17° and Shafi Asr settings. These are calculated times, not an official mosque timetable.

For Malaysia, source integration is release-gated. TAZA Prayer will not describe a provider as officially authorized or enable a live source until the required usage permission and release checks are satisfied.

Always compare with your trusted local mosque or authority when exact local observance matters.

Qibla looks unstable or different from another compass. What should I do?

Move away from magnets, metal furniture, speakers, charging accessories and other sources of magnetic interference. Hold the phone flat and move it in a figure-eight motion if your device needs compass recalibration.

Qibla also depends on a valid location. If the sensor is unavailable or unreliable, use a known location and compare against a trusted local reference.

Why did the azan or notification not play?

Check notification permission, the selected prayer's audio setting, device volume, battery restrictions and Android's exact-alarm permission where your device requires it. A phone restart or app update can also require schedules to be restored.

What information should I send if the app crashes?

Please send the app version, device model, Android version, the screen you opened and the steps just before the crash. TAZA Prayer keeps a bounded local crash diagnostic that can help identify stack traces, but it is not automatically uploaded.

Does TAZA Prayer sell location or personal data?

No. The current release preparation contains no advertising SDKs and no TAZA analytics SDK. Device location used by the app is not automatically uploaded to a TAZA server. See the dedicated privacy and data pages for the full explanation.
